Joan Findley-Perls - Joan, a lifelong resident of Corrales, earned a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design at the University of New Mexico. She has lived in worked in Corrales her whole life and raised her children here. She came from an artistic home with an artist mother, Tommie Findley (Founding member of Corrales Bosque Gallery).
Joan has enjoyed a variety of careers, including landscape architecture, contracting, event organizing, graphic design and catering. While her husband, Bob, worked as a diplomat, Joan was the Community Liaison at the American Consulate in Frankfurt Germany.
It wasn’t until she was 50 that Joan began perusing art as her primary activity. She now works out of her studio in Corrales, New Mexico in a variety of mediums including graphite on paper, pen and ink, oil canvas and acrylic on canvas.
